You don’t want to miss a Tequila Tasting Dinner at Sandoval’s! Danny Sandoval is not only the most knowledgeable Tequila Connoisseur in Oregon, but he also offers the most perfect food pairings for the Dinner portion, i.e., Salmon Tacos at the Cazadores Tasting Dinner!Yum! Manny from Cazadores Tequila was a pleasure to meet. He was engaging, charming, funny and entertaining...and he knew his Tequila! His presentation was fascinating and the Margarita he made for us that evening was amazing! Gracias for the recipe, Manny! And, Gracias to Danny and Kathy for hosting these Tequila Tasting events right here in Portland! Don’t miss the next one!

Fresh authenthic ingredients and the food is delicious! I've been eating here for 3 years. Happy to sit down and eat in, but lately it's been more carry out. Staff is super friendly, and the place is always clean. Recommended!

Hello, I am Danny's Mom. I can hear it now" Of course she's going to say good things about him". No, I just want to share a few words on how he got started in the restaurant business. I prepared three meals a day for my family of six children. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking. Danny always questioned my meal preparation when he would find me in the kitchen. " How did you make that meat loaf?, or what did you put in the tamales to make them taste so good?" I would respond with " Love Mijo" because I love you kids. He paid attention to what Mom was feeding him and his siblings. He also spent quite a bit of time with his Grandma who was an outstanding cook. As a young adult he began experimenting in the kitchen cooking for his brothers and sisters. I worked rotating shifts, so his siblings were at his mercy. Some meals were good and another's not so good. When he informed me that he was going into the restaurant business I wished him good luck. I had confidence that he would succeed because of his determination. I was a little apprehensive because he was leaving a good job with Lucky Markets. He made his move and thirty five years later he is still at it. If you like good homestyle Mexican food that is prepared using the finest ingredients, check out Sandoval's at Barnes & Miller. As you all know "mama knows best" so you know you'll be getting the best at Sandoval's. Love you Mijo.

We had another wonderful meal at Sandoval’s restaurant. They make beautiful authentic Mexican food and have a friendly staff. The brisket soft tacos had a beautiful smoky flavor and were amazing. The pork is soft and tender and just melts in your mouth. We had the chicken quesadillas and the street tacos from the happy hour menu also. We love the patio. So great to see that you’re back open. We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely atmosphere with fantastic owners! The food is fresh, flavorful and consistent. The staff is fantastically accommodating and attentive which speaks volumes! They make the guacamole to your taste at the table which was a feeling point in and of itself. As someone who has a dairy allergy, their attention to detail and protocol was impressive and reassuring. I think my favorite part of our second visit was the amazing conversation we had with the adorable couple that owns the place

After not being able to go out for 2 weeks we were dying for some great takeout! And since we couldn’t come to you, you came to us! Thank you Danny and staff! Dinner was, as usual, amazing!!

Our family loves this place! All of the staff remember us each time we go in and even remembers that one of our littles is lactose intolerant. We have known the owners for years and love the small, family owned business atmosphere they bring. A staple for us for sure!

it's a Friday of a 3 day weekend and this place is hoppin!! Still the staff is very friendly and quick to get through the line. The food as usual is AMAZING! Best burritos (and I grew up close to Mexico!) Loved the blood orange margarita, arroz con pollo soup, enchiladas, and tableside guacamole! Keep up the great work!!

I have been to this restaurant many times and each time it has been incredible. The Chile Verde burrito is killer! The portions are huge so I normally do not have room for dessert, but the other night my girlfriend and I split the Flan and it was by far the best I have ever had! I highly recommend trying this place out.
